I am so happy to be joining Watershed and teaching First Grade this year. I just moved from my family’s horse farm near Allentown, PA to my new apartment in Maryland. I am from Pennsylvania and grew up near Northeast Philadelphia. I love music and theater, and before I became a teacher, I wanted to become a professional opera singer. Needless to say, I love to sing and can’t wait to make music with my students! I also love tea, raccoons, and history, and I like to spend time participating in reenactments and history festivals. I graduated from West Chester University of PA in 2008 and was a substitute teacher until 2015, when I got my first full time teaching job at Circle of Seasons Charter School. It’s the first public Waldorf Methods school on the east coast, and I spent 5 years taking my class through a teaching loop – that means I taught the same students for 5 years, from first through fifth grade! Teacher/family relationships are really important to me, and I want to get to know you and your families this year. I am looking forward to meeting you and learning about you!
