My personal passion for exploring the outdoors led me to joining a startup nature-based charter school outside of Atlanta. The EIC training I received there enabled me to see not just how content areas could be taught together, but how the natural world was an obvious component of almost all educational experiences for scholars. After moving back to the Baltimore area I wanted my own young kids to experience such a school. Unfortunately, it didn’t exist in the public school setting. It has been a pleasure to join a team of visionaries set on making one a reality in Baltimore County. I am so proud to be part of a team that will make outdoor education available to all of the families of Baltimore County.
